"Life" is the most complicated term I ever came across in my life. I always used to think about how to find an answer to the question "why are we living?". Most of the things we do in our lives does not seem to answer this. All that we do is to make our stay here more comfortable. We study to get a job, a job to get the money and the money to get everything.
Beauty of life is everyone "lives". If you ask some studious fellow in your college "are you having fun?" he will say "Yes.!!". He thinks being a bookworm is fun. He loves it. On the other hand a workaholic will say am enjoying my stay in front of a desktop. A "geek" will say 24/7 affair with gadgets is my life. If we say someone is not good or wrong its just the way we look. This makes me think that life is relative. We always create some rules and try to impose on others. If they follow those they are treated as good ones and the others are bad.
This relativity of thoughts always leads into conflicts. As everyone is right in their own ways, it becomes difficult to arrive at a common point where things can move on easily. "Getting in to the shoes of others" is the most difficult task for many of us. But to live in peace we need to circle out some part of relativity in to an absoluteness. This make me conclude life is dual in nature as light scientifically is. Absolute and relative..!!.
Other interesting aspect of life is who controls it. Do we really get what we want or do we really do what we always wanted to do?. Some people take life as the way it comes. Some live in the illusion that they decide what happens to them.
I have seen people living with so much rules in their life and following those without knowing why there are doing that. For them, following rules is the greatest thing they are doing in life and it makes them feel proud. The importance they give to materials is something which always makes me think "why are they living?".
Sometimes I feel if we try to contain life by a set of rules, the beauty of life will be lost. Doing only those things which matter in life is the most "efficient" way of living. For example we should give importance to what kind of tea we drink than what material the tea cup made of and what color it is.
One thing we should always keep in mind is we have got only one life to live and we all going to live for a finite amount of time.Whenever we are at the point where we need to choose among ways, thinking "what really matters" helps us taking right decisions assuring no regrets later.
Once Mr Jobs said " Knowing that I am going to die is the most important tool which helped me while taking great decisions". How true it is ( "The absolute part of life").
Good one :) Life is more about the path rather than destination. Its hard to inculcate and live in the present and rejoice this gift of God :)
